Exciting times as a contractor!

Fresh off the back of the Easter weekend, we’re now into the month of April and 2018 is already shaping up to be an exciting year with lots of great things happening.

Spring in your step

It’s fair to say that winter has been in overtime this year with arctic like temperatures plaguing the UK and making the prospect of getting out of bed for work quite undesirable!

With the clocks going forward recently on account of British summer time, temperatures are slowly rising and spring seems to have finally arrived. Now the weather is improving, our mood and energy levels will be improving, and this energy will be best utilised for contractors whether it be finding a new contract or hitting the ground running with a contract they’ve recently started. It certainly feels that 2018 is finally in momentum.

Busy Season

After the traditional slow start in January with many companies still feeling the holiday hangover effect with employees returning to work in dribs and drabs, things are starting to get moving again. The next few months will undoubtedly be busy for contractors and recruiters with it well documented that the volume of job searches rises from the month of April.

Hopefully if you’re on the lookout for a new contract, you’ve used these past few months to prepare yourself well for the busy season that lies ahead.

Holiday time round the corner

With spring just arriving, that means summer’s not far away as well. The next few months presents a unique time for contractors to get their heads down and work hard within their current contract knowing that when summer comes round they’ll be able to reap the full rewards of summer.
